The first fire reel is another curiosity. Dating from 1862 it was problematic as the town did not have reticulated water until 1883.

Telephone exchange that was in service until 1982. It used to be loaded on a truck and taken to a different local towns each day on a roster basis, thus Dunolly had the first mobile phone. Having fooled too many young people, this demonstrates the importance of history to be able to tell what is true and what is fiction.

Every six months we have a tour. We journey both in place and time to explore the strange, bizarre, hilarious, tragic, inspiring and sometimes simply bewildering.
